BioSphere compostable additive has enhanced the ability of plastic articles to be consumed by microorganisms in the Aerobic environments of compost facilities.

Compostable plastic testing which is required to sell into the State of California under the claims of “biodegradable”, “compostable”, “degradable” or any words around the biodegradability of articles must have the ASTM D6400 standard test completed for sale into California. BioSphere is continuing to R&D their biodegradable plastic additive to allow a simple solution for manufacturers for use of their additive into the base resin at 30% by weight.
